Taken from the summit of Hohe Salve, a small mountain in the Tyrolean alps, a view of a village surrounded by mountains can been. This wasn’t a technical climb, or even a climb in any aspect. It was a matter of taking a gondola to near the summit and then walking a few steps for this is actually the summit of a ski mountain. I started skiing at the relative late age of 24 and I had summited a few peaks before then. What really perplexed me was for those privileged few who have been skiing since childhood, these scenes have become routine. In reality, like mountains anywhere, despite them being built upon, they are still impressive and should be appreciated as such.
